The invitation to the party, posted on the Web site Facebook, encouraged guests to wear "regional clothing from our locale" with jewelry including "bling bling ice ice, grills" and "hoochie hoops."
The party, held Saturday night at the fraternity house, featured a skeleton pirate hanging on a noose.
OK, so I know what bling bling is, but who says 'ice ice?' Or, has ice ice been added on to bling bling so that it is now 'bling bling, ice ice?' And why can't it be 'ice ice bling bling?' I've also never heard anyone refer to hooped earring as hoochie hoops, but I guess it's possible.
Anyway, all of this things you can probably still argue as being nothing more than poor humor but it's gonna be pretty fucking hard to explain the skeleton noose pirate. That's just stupid anyway you slice it. It's not even a matter of being insensitive, as this is how the school is referring to it. I mean even if you think it's the funniest joke in the world and you can't stop laughing shouldn't there be something telling you that someone could be insulted by this and it could snowball into a situation that may be more than this joke is worth? I guess that's the part that baffles me. It's not the 1940's anymore people.

your title makes you sound as ignorant as these fools... I'm white, and I wasn't even invited.. hmmm.. glad I know better than to make a generalization about your use of generalizations to descibe their, uhhh, generalizations...
Gotta agree with tay hota. Generalities, glittering or not, seem only to serve the purpose politicians and not serious inquiry. Maybe a better title would have been "Why does it seem Frat Boys lack imagination?" or "Are Frat Boys really that unfunny?" or "Another shining example of how or nations institutions of higher education are failing us."
